A leadscrew, also known as a power screw or trapezoidal screw, is a screw used in machines to convert rotational motion into linear motion.
Due to the large area of sliding contact between their male and female components, screw threads experience higher frictional energy losses compared to other linkages.
The Belting Online range of rolled Trapezoidal Lead Screws are made from quality steels such as C45 and Stainless 316. Nuts are available in steel and bronze from stock, with options for plastic and stainless steel nuts as well. These nuts come in flanged, round, and hexagon forms.
In addition to the standard range of Lead Screws and nuts, we offer fully machined components to customer specifications and drawings. Both right-hand and left-hand threads are available, as well as multi-start forms. The rolled Lead Screws boast an accuracy of 0.10 mm per 300 mm length, with straightness tolerances starting at 0.20 mm per 300 mm length.
